SUMMARY:STARability Family Forum
DESCRIPTION:IAS Founder\, Idela Hernandez\, will be a guest speaker at the STARability Foundation’s next Family Forum. The event will discuss the important topics of Social Security Benefits and Guardianship. Attendees will learn about Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance\, Medicare and Medicaid\, and financial considerations for individuals with disabilities who are working or would like to work. \nTopics will also include the different types of guardianship\, guardian advocacy\, the process to become a guardian or guardian advocate\, and what follow-ups are needed with the court. \nSTARability’s Family Forum will be a hybrid event and is free to attend. The in-person portion will be held in the Collier Community Foundation’s meeting room on the second floor of the building. The virtual portion will be held via Zoom.
